Cory (and similar) above 3" (75mm)

Post by zfarsh »

Hi All,

I was looking for a list of Corydoras (or aspidoras) that are "nice / peacefull" and above 3" (75mm), and bellow 5" (125mm) if possible. I want to put a few in my 75 gallon tank, but dont want my larger fish 6" - 8" to eat them.

Thanks in advance

you can do a search in cat-e-log specifying sizes to create your list as you need it.

Don't delete the post as others may find it interesting.

My link didn't work properly so

Corydoras haraldschultzi
Corydoras incolicana
Corydoras pantanalensis
Corydoras robustus
Corydoras semiaquilus
Corydoras sp. (C028)
Corydoras sp. (C042)

Are the ones revealled in a search for 3-5" Corys

No aspidoras are that size but you may want to look at Dianema. What fish do you have that are 6-8" that may eat smaller corys??? There are an unappetising spiny mouthful....

Hi,

there are certainly some more Corydoras (my C. sterbai, C. pulcher, C. spectabilis are/were also larger than 75 mm SL), all Brochis species and many Scleromystax species should also fall into this category.

Cheers,

Yes indeed - i wonder if the search would work better using mm rather than inches....i'll have a look

My previous search was just against Corydoras. I've just re-done it & left the genus blank & it brings up many more species
