leopard brown/black pleco - what kind?

Unknown pleco

Hi i am new to this site and a novice fish keeper. I got given this pleco by a friend as her tank was leaking and she decided to get a new one. she has no idea what kind he is. can anyone help me id him and let me know what size tank he will need when he gets bigger.
i only have space for a 100lt tank, slightly worried he might grow in to a monster and will need a 400lt tank.

I'm not 100% sure but it looks like a

Pterygoplichthys pardalis

. That lighting/color is throwing me off.

It is a Pterygoplichthys.

Looks like it is

Pterygoplichthys pardalis
