Hi, I'm new here

Post by Foxtail »

Hi, just thought I would share some of my cats... I have a recently stocked 120 gallon tank. The non cats in the tank are mostly tetras and one 7" Black Ghost Knife. The cats are 2 4.5" synodontis p., 2 silvertip bristlenose plecos, 4 dwarf albino corys, 1 panda cory, and 1 juli cory(trying to rehome the panda and juli, or get more of each), and 1 5"+ rapheal cat.

That's a really unusual mix of fishes. The synos prefer water conditions quite different from all the other fishes, so I would maintain them separately from the others.

Yes, I am aware of the required water conditions for each of the fish.. Same goes for the rapheal cat as he is also african but I got all the fish as a package deal for $60 from someone that was shutting down his setups. I am trying it out to see how it goes. So far everyone seems super happy and almost all fish are spawning..... Or atleast trying to lol. If the synos start to not do so well I will rehome them.

So far so good. The tankmates all seem to be doing fine together. I did notice some bba starting on some of the plants that I will have to take care of.

A Raphael cat is not African but south American

Also the panda looks like it is a different species not panda

Finally the black ghost knife gets huge and eats small fish like silver tips. It is a bizarre mix of fish & I'd recommend you sorting them to get a decent balance
Lou: Every young man's fantasy is to have a three-way.
Jacob: Yeah not with another fu**!ng guy!
Lou: It's still a three-way!
