Periodical account archiving ["Username not recognised"]

All~

Periodically we archive any forum users who have not posted. This is for a number of reasons, security and housekeeping being the two main ones. If you have one or more posts then your forum account will not be affected.

If you find you can't login with a username you think has worked in the past, typically with an error message of "You have specified an incorrect username. Please check your username and try again." then this means your account has been archived. Please do register again (with the same username) and, as suggested in the welcome email, make a post in the Speak easy section saying hello! This one post will mean your account will not be cleared out in future.

Sorry, for any inconvenience caused, but we're just trying to keep everything shipshape!

Any My Cats, My Aquaria or My Breeding data associated with an archived account will become read-only and cannot be changed and will, eventually, get deprecated at least in part. If you do re-register with the exact same username, access to your My Cats, My Aquaria or My Breeding data will be instantly restored.

Just a note / bump to say that another cull of zero post users was undertaken today. If you can't login and have never posted, that will be why!

Sorry for the inconvenience caused, but if you register again (and post just once) it will never happen to you again!

Just an update to add that all user accounts with zero posts created before 1st September 2014 have been removed. If you can't log in and you've never posted, please register again with the same username and post a single time (perhaps to say hello!) to prevent this from ever happening again to you!

Should the accounting also remove known spammers who have had their posts moved to the spam forum?
