L104 or LDA68 or L226?

Post by Gertbl »

Hi Everbody,

Yesterday I bought a Panaque in a lfs and the label on the tank where the Panaque were in, was having the name Peckoltia sp. L104. Of course the label on the tank was wrong, but that didn't matter to me.
Anyway I was showing a picture of the Panaque that I have bought, and I heard that it could be a LDA68 or a Panaque changae L226. This because of the colour pattern on the head, that might be different to a Panaque maccus.

Here's the picture that I have taken from the Panaque, that is swimming in my 1.60m tank.
Is it a L226 Panaque changae or L104 Panaque maccus or LDA68?

Thanks. I bought these Loricariidae as L104 Peckoltia sp.
One thing is for sure, the people at the shop didn't knew the right name for this species.
One of the people there told me that this was Wildcaught and imported from Colombia. But he said that the same exporter is selling fish from Peru and Venezuela.

Could this be a L206?

Or is this a complete other specie?

L206 are very easy for breeding. It starts to spawning after one year old.
