re: CW-16
Hi,
I just noted that the photographer's name (Frank F.) is backward on his pictures of the CW-16 in the Cat-eLog. I know that there was a go around regarding backward pictures, etc., but in that I noticed I thought that I would make mention of it.

If anyone has submitted an image with a watermark on it this will be flipped too and not look great. I am happy to update any of these images if flipped and re-watermarked - just get in touch.

Hi Jools,
(Thanks for the link Dave)
To be sure: Reading what you wrote seems to indicate that the owner of the image is the party that should handle any situations with flipped watermarks, website addresses, museum markings, etc. If this is the case I assume that you will not want such situations generally (as above) reported as Bugs any more? Please confirm. Thanks.

Re: re: CW-16
Hi Lee
Thanks for bringing this up. I don't think these should be posted as bugs UNLESS the text on the image holds data. That's to say, if it is just a logo, watermark or similar then no. These will either be very slowly replaced over time. If there is otherwise useful text such as a picture of two species with text detailing what we are looking at, then that should be report as a cat-elog issue. Or a bug, but I guess the former is more technically correct.
Some contributors have provided so many images that are watermarked that I dare not ask them to supply them again facing the other way. But, in Franks case, I plan to ask if he might consider sending them again facing the other way.
I am also aware that there are a number of images where the caption reads something like "pair, male on the left" which also need corrected.
I hope that all makes sense.
Cheers
Jools

Hi Jools,
Thanks for the follow up. Yes, it does make sense...you must not have been watching soccer (football to you) when you wrote it. What had me do the follow up question to my initial mail was seeing a photo that had some text reversed on it but I couldn't tell exactly what because the "Hosted by Planet Catfish" watermark was plastered right over it. I figured that I had to ask.
Take care for now.

If there is then I missed it when I went through all the species...I certainly may have missed a couple though.I am also aware that there are a number of images where the caption reads something like "pair, male on the left"

Well, I've certainly not been through them all, but I had a look at the following links supplied by Mats and I saw (and fixed) a couple in the first few.

Re: re: CW-16
I don't think there are many actually, most look correct now that I've been through it but I can see at least one that looks dodgy.
Maybe a new thread should be created for images like this one where I can manually edit the image to make it sensible.
