Leopardus ID L600

Post by FunkyFredFrog »

In this thread I'll ref to Pseudacanthicus Leopardus as L600 and Pseudacanthicus sp. as L114.

Another L600 vs L114 debate for someone to solve IF POSS please?

I believe I've got 2 x L600 and 1 x L114 here and wish for someone to give me the thumbs up!

Fish 1 - I believe this is a L600

Fish 2 - I believe this is a L600

Fish 3 - I believe this is a L114

can you help?

I have more pics that I'll post in a bit

I'm certainly no expert on these but I would agree that 1 and 2 are P. leopardus and fish 3 is L114.

In ain't so experienced either but after a bit of research I've recently bought 2 L114 that were mislabelled as L025 and they look very close the last one you've shown here.

man I feel for you - I really do - I hope you didnt pay L025 prices - L114 is one of my top 2 fish so I love them but they are a lot cheaper than either L025 or L600 so I hope you paid a cheap price.

I paid £50 each and they're 4 inch. I'm cool with that. But hope to find them slightly cheaper if I decide to add a couple more.

I would agree with this. Very nice healthy looking fish tho. Make sure you have big enough tank and lots of places to hide.
