L190/L191 Colony tank size ok?
Ok, i am thinking of dedicating my 5 foot tank
tank measurements: 150cm x 70cm width x 60cm h
I have 6 L190 (largest is 15cm, smallest is 7cm) the others are a 10cm to 12 cm range.
1x L191 15cm (possible)
another 25cm L190 possible.
wood surface area is not an issue, water quality is not an issue, food will be a plenty.
I am wondering, will this tank be ok for these fish say for 1 to 2 years? or more? i dont wnt to stunt them.
as far as i can see and read, royal plecs are not the biggest swimmers like cichlids, and they tend to stay on the wood and graze... then hide and rest....
so space is not what gives them the size potential - would be food quantity/quality and water quality.
My water is NEVER above 10ppm Nitrate due to auto water changer.
any feedback?
Also in this tank size, my current 15cm looking like a male with long whiskers, the 25cm one also looks to be a male with long whiskers (not sure though)
any aggression issues, i mean... like i said, wood and decor is not in short supply, i can make this a forest
i find during feeding, they are currently in a bigger tnak, they tend to group to gether when feeding, no chasing, no aggression... all get a good amount of food.

When they become this size you have a problem, then you're tank will be too small....(by the way this is a L418). Important is al lot of current in the tank, the big ones live in fast flowing waters.
I have two big L418 and later one I'll get two 15cm. They get a tank of their own, 1.80 x 80 x 60 with a lot of current
