Selling my blue botias
Okay so there is a lady that goes to my church and looks after the aquarium at the manor she works at. We were talking about her recent marina allergy and it came out about my botias she said she has been wanting loaches but has never been able to find them she wants them to go in the 55 gallon with some tinfoil, a cichlid, and some coloumbian sharks(?). Does this sound like a good arrangement for the loaches? What questions should I ask her?

55gal is too small for tinfoil barbs and colombian shark cats. Depending on the cichlid species, it may be too small for it as well.
She could keep the loaches with some smaller barbs in the 55gal with a couple piles of driftwood in the back corners of the tank. The tank is borderline too small, but since the loaches aren't usually very active, they should be okay, given the filtration is ample and the tank is well covered.

She called it an allergy something to do with cleaning the tank with a cut and getting an infection from it. She already has the other fish in the tank they are all old two of her ciclids died of old age ( she said). That is why she only has one. I was thinking Danielle and I might take a walk over to the manor to check out the tank.

She didn't take them decided she probably couldn't fit their tunes in due to all her ornaments in the tank
