For the Gearheads-what am I
To start, this is not mine, a friend of mine is involved in the company. (I did do/doing a lot of work on the little house in the background)
I know there are a few gearheads here...just thought to see how up you are on your sports cars.
Thing sounds great!!
So...what am I??

Re: For the Gearheads-what am I
It's nice, but the 3 seats is a straight copy of the McLaren F1 and to me the whole thing looks like a mish-mash of other cars. The back and sides remind me of a Koenigsegggggg, and the front a kind of cartoony Ferrari.
If only I had the money for it to be a problem what whether to buy one or not!

ugh
these days all the so called supercars look like they're from a clone factory
if we're fantasizing about "when i'm big and grown up and rich, Ill buy",
I'd rather go for
this!
why?
because it's FUN!
and yes, it's allowed on the road, all the lights and such are in the right places

No, no ,no, Sid. You should have this:

Much more fun and equally as practical (although I don't suppose that's relevant).

Re: For the Gearheads-what am I
I see all your plastic and raise you some chrome:
actually I already have this, and I prefer to drive really s l o w when on 2 wheels.... your race monster would be wasted on me, really
but if i manage to save up some money (just bought a house, so I'm kinda broke) I will get a V twin chrome-heap
that'll go just as slow, but it makes more (and better!) noise

Wow, that's a blast from the past! It does actually Marc, I used to see an 'S' version quite often. Didn't realise it was 3 seats though. Well, that blast from the past may well be my most important hobby. Car and motorcycle brochures from interesting makes from the 60's & 70's.
Huge advantage of brochures over fishes is that they don't die (they are already dead). Greatest disadvantage of brochures when compared to fishes that they can't stand water. A combination of both hobbies (like piling brochures under a tank) is therefore not recommended.
Anyway, for anyone interested: Matra Simca Bagheera, 3 seater.

@ Sid - good call on the Atom - i saw one oce on a 'B' road on the outskirts of Droitwich in Worcestershire when i was driving a Toyota Yaris. Never have i seen something on 4 wheels move so fast along winding little roads. Amazing as it is, i'd rather have the 500 V8 version and so much cheaper than a Bugatti Veyron supersports!!!

Ooh.. a "go faster toys" thread
Here's mine. At this altitude (7K+ feet), she's a few horses short of the full hooligan.
But then, at my age, so am I.
If I won the lottery (and there were any actually around to buy), I'd get myself one of those Norton 961s. They may not be the fastest thing on the planet but they are drop dead gorgeous.

I wanted to see if the car was recognizable outside of Canada, I guess it is, if your interested in buying I'll hook you up
The car is cool but I am more of a late 60's early 70's musclehead, I do have my own 64 1/2 mustang, needs some care yet.
If I had the choice of being able to afford the Plethore I would rather stick one of the above bikes in the garage for snortin around on sunny days and do more fish collecting in foreign lands.

Re: For the Gearheads-what am I
I am with you there. I miss my old car too. I had a 95 monte carlo sleeper. We reworked it to being rear wheel drive, 4 speed with a 454 under the hood. That car was a work of art and deadly off the line. I totalled it while trying to drift (yes.. stupid move, but I was 18 at the time.. and trying to keep up with my friend in his Supra.)Birger wrote: If I had the choice of being able to afford the Plethore I would rather stick one of the above bikes in the garage for snortin around on sunny days and do more fish collecting in foreign lands.

My dream if money was no option would be 55 Chevy truck for my "classic", a 2012 Dodge Challenger SRT8 for my "fun" and a Campagna T-Rex for my "motorcycle".
My wife doesn't trust me on 2 wheels, and to be honest, I don't trust me either. LOL. It is neat seeing how different we are in car styles, but how similar we all are in our fish styles

5 points to MatSP for the correct answer. VXT or VX220 turbo
No need to worry sidguppy, the only damage I took was a friction burn on my wrist from the airbag. I always thought it was funny that the crash didn't hurt me but a safety feature in the car did!

you really have to translate that one, I googled it, but I have no clue what it meansshe's a few horses short of the full hooligan
a few cards short of a full deck or lost a few marbles probably doesn't mean the same thing

Re: For the Gearheads-what am I
"full hooligan", in this case, refers to "crazy powerful bike". And at high altitude the is less dense -> less oxygen to burn the fuel -> less power, so a few horses short compared to the sealevel. I seem to remember that when they race motorbikes at Salt Lake City, which is about 4000 feet (1200 meter) asl, the motorbikes are down about 10% on power. So I guess it's about 15% or so at 7000 feet.
