african suckermouth ID

I got these five guys as Atopochilus cf. pachychilus with the only one real Atopochilus, so I suppose they could be from the same location as Atopo: Kasai R./Kanda Kanda R. They are looking like some kind Chiloglanis, but which one... I can't see gender differences (all females?) and the biggest one is about 7,5 cm.

I have what looks to be similar fish going home with me from the UK to Canada on Thursday (thanks to Jools) I will be having a good look then when I get back.

Seems really to be the same species! I'm a little bit curious under which name they were sold to you. Atopochilus too?

I checked all 48 Chiloglanis spp. on fishbase and Chiloglanis lukugae do match the best for me (max. size <9cm, occurs in the Kasai River, also see the picture http://fishbase.org/Photos/PicturesSumm ... s&TotRec=4 ). Though, there are some other Chilos common to Congo but without any morphological notes.

It looks like we have the same species indeed!
I bought Seeger's book about african catfish last week. Plenty of Chiloglanis pics and drawings there. Though, the only one mostly matching is the drawing of lukugae, mostly...

Hey Stan...I am going to go with

Chiloglanis congicus

, shape of the fins, (caudal and dorsal), size works....in the Seegers book don't so much look at the drawing but read the description and I think it may fit and it makes them attainable as to the location.

Can we also add your full body shot to the Cat-eLog?

My pic on my Scotcat pics came from the same specimens Jools has. I ID'd them as congicus last year.

How many congicus do you have? The fish on the foto eating green beans looks very fat!
The guy on the full body shot has a bit more elongated caudal fin in it lower region, then the other individuals of the group. So, may be it could be a male? Has someone already bred Chiloglanis in the captivity?
Also, I noticed, this species is not so aggressive like C. cf. disneyi, actually they are not aggressive at all.
