That reminds me... does anyone know if there's any good way to reliably tell a nigroviridis from a fluviatilis?

the guppies react to it as well.
I think many visually orientated fish will fall for it
at first I thought "cruelty to animals", but if you don't overdo it, it might very well turn out as exersize for fat, lazy fish

Thanks for sharing this video. Even "fat" fish need exercise.

That's brilliant! Always wanted to keep these fish. They look like great fun.
Not particularly helpful.
SF says: "Tetraodon nigroviridis is often confused with its similar looking relatives T. fluviatilis , and T. schoutedeni. It can be distinguished from these by its more rounded shape when compared to fluviatilis and lack of spines on its belly (present in schoutedeni)."does anyone know if there's any good way to reliably tell a nigroviridis from a fluviatilis?

they are great fun, especially for the other tank inhabitants, but only if you have a very broad mind and your sense of humor has been surgically removed firstAlways wanted to keep these fish. They look like great fun.

Can you elaborate as to why they're unsuitable?only if you have a very broad mind and your sense of humor has been surgically removed first
