Not really. P. compta has more distinct border between dark and light colouration, and the lines tend to be slightly curvy (sort of like the "flames" on custom cars, ish). Further, the lines end in a smooth curve just just above the bottom of the fish...Martin S wrote:To me, it looks more like ...
I'm certain this is a member of the P. vittata complex - there are around half a dozen more or less similar L-numbers in this group.

Ah because the pictured fish is a juv .The pattern on adults changes on the head but not on the fins.
Look at the clog pic 1st Image (My fish?)Look where the bands are on the fins .
