Well hello Mr Anderson,
As a very rough guess have a look at L134 and L174 in the cat elog.

I'd predict you're going to need to snap a picture of the pleco, or at least browse the cat-elog a bit and narrow the field :D

Host the pics on another site (such as an online photoalbum service) and post a link from there.
Reading the sticky in the "What is my catfish" forum should help.

there's a great breeding article in Shane's world by a forum member. I've got a few, including a pair I'm trying to breed, but they're pretty much standard peckoltias, treat them the same as any other. the lines looke maybe too small for L134, I can't tell exactly though

Does he remind you of Erics L333 Scott? The head shape looks a bit different, but that seems to match the lines the best. I agree, I don't think its an L134.

sort of, I missed the second pic, but... sort of, again, thin lines for that too... like halfway between that and L260... maybe it's just an odd pattern for the species?

All of the L134's i have seen (approx 8-10) have much thicker bands, maybe 3 or 4 times the thickness of the ones shown. The general colouration looks similar, but i dont think the body shape is.

Maybe you could try and get some clearer pics?

Hey Neo

very nice fish, (the gold nuggets are very impressive, there may be some people here interested in how you bred them).

For my 2p that's a L134, but you'll never convince everyone unless you get clearer pics. I would say thouhg that from the shape of the fish it is no Hypancistrus and that rules out a few of the suggestions. It might just be some type of Panaque, but L134 is famously variable in terms of pigmentation.

Maybe it's just the angle of the pictures but the head profile doesn't look steep enough and the eyes are set just a bit low in the head?

Aren't the zebras snouts a little flatter than that? Also, in pic one of that second batch the mouth looks very panaqolus like.

I have seen these at a wholesaler here in sweden and they look exactly like the L-134 except for the pattern, I think this can be a local species of L-134.
