a simpler way to use "my cats"?
I find it incredibly difficult to work with that
first; where is it?
species do show up in "my aquaria", but try moving 1 species from 1 tank to another; it's very hard
second: there's a "my aquaria' button right there on top of the forum display, easy to go to
but there's no 'my cats'button ANYWHERE, believe me I looked......
is there or can there be arranged some kind of manual?
for now I'm thoroughly stumped
I tried to move my Rhamdia quelen from 1 tank to another and actually found it easier in real life to catch the fish and dump them in nother tank than to arrange this on this site
that can't be right.
short of first deleting this species (and hence screwing up the data) or even deleting the entire tank and then re-adding it to another tank, i cannot see how that's done

I agree, there should be a "view your cats" link next to "View your aquaria" - I think I suggested that some time back. Another way is to find one of your own posts and use the link to the right, under your name & avatar, etc.
But you don't need to go to "my cats" to move from one tank to another, you can do that with the "edit" button on the aquaria listing - just click edit next to the species you want to move and select a new aquarium in the drop down menu for that fish.

and that is why some kind of "manual for dummies" really is a good idea; cause as it is now, it's a case of fumbling along to find out

Yes, it's on the long list of "things we should do".sidguppy wrote:and that is why some kind of "manual for dummies" really is a good idea; cause as it is now, it's a case of fumbling along to find out

I agree and I'm thankful someone has brought it up.
Mats, you could add that link if you like? It's a simple one in the overall header template.
I will do a "manual", can you give me some suggestions for topics?
Cheers

OK, so I've added the links as requested. How about a "contents page" for the manual... Or should I guess it?
