L-114 VS L-200
Hello everybody I am soon taking a trip to the lfs and he has in stock a couple neat plecos
And I know I want one but I cant decide between a L114 or a L200 so I want you guys and girls to help me decide! Give me any reason to buy or not to buy either species! Also does anybody know how long it wood take a 2.5 inch L114 to reach 4 or so inches?

"Fishing provides that connection with the whole living world. It gives you the opportunity of being totally immersed, turning back into yourself in a good way. A form of meditation, some form of communion with levels of yourself that are deeper than the ordinary self."

Re: L-114 VS L-200
L114 doesn't grow very quickly in my experience. But growth rate is dependant on MANY different factors, so it's quite hard to say precisely.
Surely, you are the one to decide what fish YOU want. I can decide for my tanks, but asking us to choose which fish is just being silly. Go to the shop, look at the fish, and make your choice.

it is also hard to say without knowing what else is in the tank and what the setup is.

Re: L-114 VS L-200
I think the L200 are supposedly more outgoing, and you'll maybe see them out in the open more. I don't have any L200, so I can't confirm this. I do have L114; I think they are prettier, but mine like to hide. I have 3 ranging from 1 to 5-5.5" SL.
Re: L-114 VS L-200
L200 are more active than L114, but I still prefer pseuda.
It also depend on you tank and population, L114 are carnivore (not predator) and L200 omnivore.
L114 are more territorial if you want more than one pleco in your tank.
L114 grow fast compare to othet pseuda.
I bought one at 1.5" and 2 years after he was approx 6".
If he have plenty of place to hide, no fight to get his food (or no one eating it before he go out), you shouldn't have much issue.
