Albino Bronze Cory

Hi I'm new to this forum but sure glad I've found it.

I have 3 beautiful Albino Bronze Cory in my 180l community aquarium. I have absolutely fallen in love with there awesome little catfish. I want to increase the number to 6 as I know cories prefer bigger groups but here's my question...

Will Albino Bronze Cory see Bronze Cory as the same species or will I end up with 2 small groups instead of one happy group? Are the albinos a colour variation that is selectively bred? In other words, are albinos bred in Albino only tanks?

Although it would be nice to have some bronze in the tank I will do what is best for my current group.

There are a few different albino corys, all of which are the result of captive selection and breeding, but the albino form of the Bronze

Corydoras aeneus

is the most common one. And yes, if you mix albino with "normal" (aka "brown") ones, they will recognize each other and swim, spawn and do other cory activities together.

If a brown and albino breed, the offspring will be a brown fish. If you were to breed these, a number of them are going to be albino (statistically: 25%).

Aesthetically it may look better to have a single colour-form, but there's no reason why you can't have a group of mixed colours.

I've decided to stick with the albino and they do look good together
