what are good tankmates for my adult albino channel cat??
he's in a 29 gallon tank with a 7 inch pink kisser and catfish + big pink kisser = BIG MESS,
the water is brown with heavy filtration and he can knock the hood off the tank if he gets startled
i dont know if i should keep him in the tank by himself or not?

Considering an adult channel catfish could be as large as 30"-52" TL, i would keep it on its own. Thats how I keep mine.what are good tankmates for my adult albino channel cat??

I believe that's dependent on how deep it freezes, as well as if you've got a heater to keep one section free of ice for gas exchange

I had a channel cat a few years ago. it grew to 36" and it was quite destructive when it was in an aquarium so i moved it to my pond which is over 1500 gals where it attacked and severely injured my ghost koi which were 2ft or so long. they are best kept on there own of with other channel cats if you have suffcient space. they have a habit of taking chunks out of things too large to swallow. too keep an adult in an aquarium would be a task and a half you would need a tank at least 10ftlong by 3ft wideand to be honest that might not be big enough.

years ago I was given a 13 in albino channel cat by the owner of my lfs put him in my 100 gallon which he very qickly out grew the eat every thing. Luckly I live in the desert of so calif and made arangments with the local golf course to release him i there pond for a long time
they would buy him feeders and feed him pellits. They are really to big to keep in a tank. Just my 2 cents
