Zebra sexes ?

Post by vanillarum »

Hey all. I made a roadtrip today and came home with these 2 L046s. Can any of you more experienced people help sex them for me ? Thank you very much. The bigger 1 is about 4" or longer, the smaller 1 is a little more than 3". Thanx again.

I agree with Neo, first is almost certainly male, second is probably male, but could be a skinny female.

Both male. The second one has to much odonthodes on the jawline to be female. Also thick and hairy pectorial rays tells me male.

pics could be better in terms of showing detail and odontode growth(i.e close ups) but......Looking at head shape, especially the area just in front of the pectoral rays, body shape, odontode growth and pectoral rays........
i see 2 x 100% males.
