Need info on outdoor ponds with s.a catfish and others
I've had several south american catfish in some large tanks, Red tails, limas, tigers. I know live in Miami and with the climate so warm was wondering if anyone had any info on setting up a nice large pond for catfish and other southamerican fish outside. Any ideas would be nice.

There are dozens of Miami area breeders and importers. Just look in any Miami phone book! Visit a couple of their facilities and see how they are running things. Salazar has several large "outdoor" ponds.

Thanks for the info. I already checked out the Neighborhood fish farm but I will ook into the one you mentioned. Are there breeders or importers who keep larger fish for sale because I already have a 1 1/2 foot redtail in a pond that will be moved when I construct a new one.
Thanks again for your help!

This is my upper pond/waterfall before I landscaped around it. Currently, there is a pyramid built up using 4 pieces of field tile, ceramic tubes, that the cats love to hide under. In the front near the falls is a whole mess of rocks that they like too. I don't have the pics of my lower pond, and small pond up yet.

Nice!!!!
Thanks for the pic Roger.
Your pond is nothing short of fantastic. Shows real workmanship and the time you put into it and gave me a bunch of great ideas. I'll post when I get started on mine and maybe run an idea or 2 by you.
Thanks again and great work on the pond.
