Clown loaches?

Post by El Gordo »

Just wondering ,does anyone recommend putting a small group of medium-large clown loaches with a small 4-6" tiger shovelnose. Currently I have 2 small royal clown knives and no problem. Let me know.

It's not a good idea in the long run. The TSN will outgrow the clown loaches quickly (clown loaches grow very slowly in aquaria) and will probably eat them.

Or die trying! Several years ago I lost a Pseudopimelodus and the Botia nigrolineata it was trying to eat this way. Those switchblade-like "knives" in the cheeks of Botia spp. can be trouble to fish trying to eat them.
