Catfish from Sumatra

Post by Gerhard »

Hello,
in february and march I was in Gunung Leuser National Park at Ketambe/Gurah and catched a catfish, probably a Glypothorax:

Has anybody a PDF of the original description:
Ng, H. H. and R. K. Hadiaty 2009 Glyptothorax ketambe, a new catfish (Teleostei: Sisoridae) from northern Sumatra. Zootaxa No. 2085: 61-68.

I hope you don't mind that I moved this post to "What's my catfish?". I think you are trying to figure out what it is, as much as trying to get hold of the description of G. ketambe.

H.H. Ng is a member of the forum, under the username of "Silurus", and he usually comments on ID's of Asian Catfish.

We could do with some photos of that in the Cat-eLog.

Well, Gerhard has access to do that, being the loaches admin but I'd also be happy to add the image as it needs, at least, to be flipped to face in the other direction.

@Silurus: Thanks for the determination.
Now I'm looking for two original descriptions: G. plectilis and G. ketambe

@Jools:
You can add the photo in the catalogue.

Regards,
Gerhard

Gerhard,

I think what Jools was saying is that you will want to add the picture yourself (you have the right permissions to do so in the Admin pages), since it has a big logo over the fish, which will look very strange when the picture is flipped so the head is to the right (which is the rule for ALL photos except ones where the fish is held vertical, where it should normally be "head up" unless it really looks bad [at which point we have to question if the image is really worth having - sometimes that is the case]).

Don't worry, Jools (and me) will be helping you out if you don't know how to do something.

Edit: Just realized that there is no contributor entry for you, Gerhard. I've put in a request for Jools to add it...

This is now done, can I leave adding pics with you two?
