Re: Sex the L046
Almost impossible from that picture....... its not in focus and not close enough to the fish? do you have more pictures?
Its very hard to tell by just body shape from that distance as they could either be females or well fed males
They both have characteristics of both sexes but at a guess i would say
Female on right
Male on left
But its its only a guess as the one on the right also has large ventral fins (males tend to have these for fanning eggs) but i'm just going of its size across its belly/vent region. Would be alot easier if we could see pictures of Cheek/pectoral odontodes.

Re: Sex the L046
My guess is 1,3,5 are males, while 2 and 4 are females.
Sexing these guys is difficult. I mostly look at head structure and pectoral fins.

I haven't met too many plecos I didn't like...

I agree pretty sure you have 3 males and 2 females there so you have a mix which is good

Re: Sex the L046
I'd agree, 3 Males (1,3,5) and 2 females. They need some love and good food though before any breeding attempts as the females especially need conditioning as they aren't very robust in the abdomen.
Good luck with them
Andy

Re: Sex the L046
How big are these fish in TL? Maybe I'm tired after a day at work, but I'm having a little more trouble with these.
I believe that 1,2, and 4 are male.
I believe 3 is a female.
Number 5 is giving me some difficulty. If the fish is full grown (near 3" TL), I'd say female. If it is say 2.5" TL or less, it might take some more time (for me anyways) to sex properly.
It seems like you are putting together a great looking colony!
