What Type of pleco am I

Post by icantquit »

Hey there, I purchased 5 plecos as L333 and notice one was different. What type of pleco is it? Could it just be a different pattern of a yellow king tiger pleco or could it be a different pleco? Let me know. Instead of just hearing blurp blurp blurp from my fish room, I put some music on the background and played it slower so that you guys can get a better look at it. Thanks!

Hi,

it looks like L 333, but difficult to tell exactly. L 333 is very fluctuating. But the other ones look more like L 66 to me, due to the longer body and the more notched caudal fin.

I thought so myself, the coloration on these guys are however yellow and black, just doesnt show well. I fed them right before taking pics of these guys, this is the only way I can get them to come out, but I purchased these as L333 yellow king tiger pleco, and out of the 5 this one is different. You can see the other 4 on my other youtube videos and they do look very very different. However, do you guys think I should seperate them?

See, more evidence that I'm confusing the two ;)

I don't think its an
The eye and the tail doesn't really belong to the Orinoco family.

Normal L333 to me.

I agree for certain that it isn't a Orinoco or Casiquiare. I'm pretty certain it's a Xingu species - unfortunately there are more than one to choose from on that. I don't see anything to rule out L333, but I'm easily confused about them...

Hey Saul it is as yellow as the ones that you posted. But the one I'm concerned about I'd the different one in the group. That one seems to be different and I just wasn't sure what it could be. That one is also yellow as well.
