WTB male Hypancistrus Lower Xingu
I just came across a mature female lower xingu and need to find her a male. I can trade a handful of L260, L270, or L180 fry, a mature male L134, or just pay cash. If a trade, you ship me yours and I'll ship you mine. If cash I'll pay for fish and shipping. I'm in WI - 54401
Here is my new girl for comparison:
Thanks!
Andy

Oh man, I had an extra one, but 3 days ago the other male trapped him and killed him.

I got 3 males in my quad. See pics here http://s75.photobucket.com/albums/i311/ ... /PLECO-ID/
If you think they are of the same kind, I'd like to trade with a mature Male L134.
Please send me pics of the Male L134.

Jay - that sucks!! Worst case, I still have the babies from you and they're growing FAST.
K, I think I have a male lined up from a breeder in MI. If that doesn't work, I'll drop you a line. If I remember, though, someone ID'd your fish as Gurupas but mine is just the regular lower xingu. She looks similar in the pics I posted because she's stressed and grey, but she is black under normal circumstances.

Let me know. I have an ID thread at PW as well and Dale ID them as LRX.

Khrister, I believe yours are LRX too. My 2 older adults got real dark as they aged and the pattern seems to have washed out a little.
