Off to Germany, can someone recommend LFS to visit??

Post by David R »

My fiancée and I are going on holiday in 3 weeks time, we're visiting her family in the UK then spending a week in Germany. I've heard great things about the shops there, we'll have 3 days in Berlin and 2 days in Munich so should be able to find time to visit some fish shops while we're there (and yes she doesn't mind, thats why there's a ring on her finger!!) If someone could recommend some places worth visiting it would be greatly appreciated!

We're also stopping off in Singapore for a couple of days on the way home, we're going to the Zoo there, but if we have time I'd love to check out some shops there too.
David R's 2000L tank build - now up and running with fish and water and stuff, check it out!

Hi,

the best shop might be "OF Aquaristik" at the moment, located in Butzbach near Frankfurt.
http://www.tanganyika.de
Always a plenty amount of different plecos, and other catfish.

Amazon-Exotic-Import is a good adress too: www.goslinea.com, located in the south of Munich.

www.amazon-aquatics.de, near Nürnberg.

Hi David,

OF Aquaristik is a great place for catfish-lovers and the owner is a really nice guy, but it is not a LFS! No regular opening hours where you just can drop in. You need an appointment, since on some days he is at the airport or other places to pick up some new fishes!
