I probably mentioned this in passing during my account of the Manaus meeting, but the NSF has decided to fund the All Catfish Species Inventory (to the tune of $5 million). The "official" journal of the ACSI is Zootaxa.
Watch for the descriptions of new catfishes that are (hopefully) going to come thick and fast.

Not too sure what you mean by a "good" description. I already had some (two? three?) published, there is that Hemipsilichthys description by Pereira et al. and AFAIK, there are several others (not by me) that are in press.
Most of the funded publications are appearing in Zootaxa, and it is expected that each participant will receive a bound copy of all the catfish papers published there.
Since this is a five-year project, there will certainly be more.

Hopefully we have the chance to download pdf`s of new descriptions here in forum? To most of us it can be too expensive and difficult to subscribe the journal.

Every catfish description is a good one to a die hard catfish hobbyist :D
