Private messages...

Hi!

This may be a little off topic but I think it is relative to the thread. In my PM area there are 8 messages. However, in the top area of the page I see this:

• Folder is 16% full (8 from 50 messages stored)

Does this refer to my inbox? If so, I'm unable to access them. Further, apologize sincerely to those who wrote during the trials of this experience. I only learned of the area when Ginav alerted me to a message she had sent me when I hadn't responded (thank you Gina).

I've been unable to figure out how to access this folder. When I click on the inbox, only the "8" are appear. Below this frame is:

• 8 messages • Page 1 of 1

I've only now looked at the "Rules, Folders & settings" area and have never made any adjustments to it. I've looked over the PM page thoroughly I think.

Could someone let me know if it is possible to access these several missed messages please. I very much want to read them... and very much appreciate any time a member might have who can answer not wanting to bother Mats and Jools at the mo as they either are or have been working overtime on the site.

So, you have 8 PM's in your inbox, and your inbox is limited to 50 messages - this means 16% if it is "used". I'm pretty sure there are no other than the 8 messages in your inbox.

[I moved this to the "Bugs and suggestions" as that's the most appropriate forum to discuss this matter (since we don't have a "Help about how to use the forum").

Oh, OK Mats.

Those are the messages that should appear as a list in your inbox directly below where it says 16%.... aren't they? GF - are you saying you can't see the list of the messages in your inbox?

My interpretation of the original post is that GF thinks there should be 50 messages somewhere...

Like I said in my first post, what it says is that you have used 16% of your allowed space of 50 messages, by having 8 messages in there. So, you have 8 messages - which I presume you have already read. No other messages [as far as I can tell - moderators can not see other peoples PM's].

Ah, I see. the "8 from 50 messages stored" threw me. Not paying close enough attention to punctuation and operative word "from". My bad.
