Looks little bit like S. sorex, but is it hybrid?

Post by Veikko »

I purchased this today from another hobbyist, who was tryin tu get rid of some extra fishes. First I thought, that it is a hybrid, but is it? Something there is really close to Synodotis Sorex though. Not enough big eye, but still. Quite long tailfin, i think. It is approximately 17 cm and "few years" old.

Hmm. Thank you! This is interesting! That might be it. If being bad kept in its early years, might be that size. But is it still really small individual?

I had a nice comments from our finnish forum. Now I define this for the time being as Synodontis cf. obesus.

love your videos... wish could i provide substantial help but there are so many syno species and inter-species look-alikes that this is impossible without a good set of photo-books and many years of experience... it appears to me from the prior expert answers
