Hello can someone tell me what the F1 you see before some plecs mean
I think it means the plec is a pure species but not sure

Hi there
From my understanding plecs that have the F1 notation before their name have been bred in captivity but from wild parents.
Wild caught plecs often have the (wc) attached to their name.
I think to be true F1 offspring both parents would need to be wild caught.

If you go to "Help!" and select the "Glossary", it has explanations of many terms that crop up from time to time on the site, including F0, F1 and F2.
