Breeding Pitbull Pleco LDA25

Post by macks »

Hello I`d like to try and breed my pitbull pleco (I`ve 8 of them but unsure of the sexes so I hope I`ve a good chance of both male/female) and I don`t no how to start. It says on this site that they are similar to many Corydoras species but I don`t no much about breeding corys. Only that you put cold water in after a water change.

So could someone please tell me what I should be doing to trigger a spawn

Do they need caves etc

Has anyone had success breeding the pitbull pleco LDA25

Thanks for any help you can give me

Basically your not adding cold water after a water change your using cold water for the changes itself.

Also when i was helping a friend get corys to spawn we added ice cubes to the tank itself with heater off for a day.

As for caves i would imagine they dont and will act like ottos.

Hope this helps intresting choice, Good luck
