"silver shark" synodontis?

"silver shark" synodontis?

Petsmart is selling these silver-colored synodontis specimens as "silver sharks", and I wanted to know what their full name is, and how big they grow...

no i dont have any pics though :(

There aren't any Synodontis that are referred to as sharks and are silver in color (there are some gray ones, though).
You probably saw Arius seemanni.

More Brackish than Salt. Have a couple myself, they're cool fish but get big. Can be quite predatory so need mixing with fish who are tough enough!! I love the way they cruise the depths of the tanks, only to be bettered in my view by Dolphin Sharks!

i have a silver shark and want to know if my fish will die if i dont have a heater or light. i have had them for several months now and they seem to be fine but they are gonna see their first christmas and i wnat to know if they will survive help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :oops:

They don't need a light, but how cold is the tank/room?

Temperature depends on where you are in the world. A room in Moscow is going to be a little different from a room in Sao Paulo. Please put your location in your profile. Also, are you sure this is the same fish - quite a few aquarium fish are sold as silver sharks. The only thing they all have in common is that they are not true sharks!
