Which fishes can be tankmates with the Asian Redtail Catfish
I need some other fishes in the tank. My tank is getting quite boring. Which fishes did you have with your Asian Redtail?

These things are best kept alone.
However, if you *absolutely* must have some tankmates, you can try larger loricariids (such as large hypostomines) or doradids.
They are still likely to be killed by the RTC (although they have a better chance of survival on the account of their armor), so be warned.

ive seen p niger regularly in one of my local shops 2" specimens are sold for about 6 GBP.
if i had the space i would have got one myself. Is this cheap then?
if you want other fish you are really better off getting rid of or getting another tank. rtc's do not tolerate tankmates and it can be quite distressing to wake up in the morning only to discover that your other "armoured" fish have been maimed and mutilated.
