Can any one ID Please?
Can any one ID Please?
Hi
I brought these around a year ago from Pier 3 females and 2 males
They were listed as Columbian Zebs/ Hypans.
I picked up 3 more from my LFS I am confident they are all females.
I then poped them in a tank. Plenty of caves bog wood and good filtration water changes every 2 or 3 days
They are spawning and have produced several batches of eggs that have hatched and are now growing well.
My problem is I now wish to make some space so I wish to sell the group, I cant make any ID from the web and wonder can any one have a stab at what they may be ? The total length is around 3” on the larger male, the others are just under 3".

Re: Can any one ID Please?
Wide lines makes me think L340. Particularly as they are also from Colombia.

I did consider this L Number but mine have a white/ bluish band at the end of the tail?
I will try to get a closeup of this as it may help.
I am quite stumps as getting them from peir I would have thought Neil could have given them an ID he is quite a wizz with ID,s and sexing.
Regards Bob

I'm certainly no expert on Hypans but they look like furunculus to me.

Re: Can any one ID Please?
I think Steve (The.Dark.One) is right, H. furunculus is a better match. For some reason, I thought the L199 (which I did consider) was from Brazil... But I should have remembered that it was described and from Venezuela.
