Which part of the world are you from?
Re: Which part of the world are you from?
I'm from Maryland, USA-in a little town south of Annapolis on the West River. I started fishkeeping for my son just over 2 years ago, and completely 'got hooked' myself! My favorite fish are cories, large and now pygmy.

Port Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada, from the 'left' coast.
Not a lot of cats naturally occurring here, but lots of cat keepers.... which supports the 'inverse' theory:-)
P.C. has been one of my best web resources!

Re: Which part of the world are you from?
Hi All,
Just joined today after getting loads of help from reading the posts on here and from the Cat-elog! I am based in Basingstoke, Hampshire, in the south of England.
I am a member of another, UK based fishkeeping forum, however my main interest is catfish, Loricariidae specifically.
I keep amongst other fish, Corydoras Sterbai, common Otto's, Panaque Maccus, L128, and in the past a Bristlenose.
I am in the process of setting up a breeding tank for a small species of catfish, once this is up and running I may start a thread about it.

Re: Which part of the world are you from?
Hello - I'm in Kansas, USA. Cutest catfish I've seen here was a school of fry. They swirled in a tight cluster of black babies - maybe an inch long.
My interest in tropical fish keeping is miniature anything. Dwarf Cories, Aspidora, Hara anchor cats , Otos and the long but very thin Whiptail and Banjo Cats, inverts and plants.
My weakness is the tiny fish of SE Asia. And, wild livebearers, labyrinth fish, Shell Dwellers and brightly colored FW shrimp. When I've had time to set up a new fishroom - I just moved to another house - I'll be haunting the
fish stores and online sales sites. And reading lots and lots.

Hi I use to be on here awhile back but I hadn't stopped bye in a long time so I had to reregister. I live in a small town in Central British Columbia, Canada the closest Pet stores are a two hour drive away. They are a Petland and Totle Pet. So my access to catfish is limited.

Re: Which part of the world are you from?
I'm one of the lurkers. Outside East Lansing, Michigan, USA.
I came to learn.
I haven't seen any posts that I could add anything intelligent to.
I've gotten peppered cory's to spawn every couple of days, but only collect eggs in the java moss that I keep swapping between tanks.
As of yesterday I have a species tank of C. pygmaeus. They were in a grow out tank with long fin BN and angels prior to yesterday. Either my BN spawned already or one of the siblings is growing extremely slowly. It's about 3cm and one older sib is 10-12cm
I have seven L-333s that I'm hoping will be old enough to breed this summer. ???
They should be a year old soon. They finally don't hide all the time, but I think I need to up the temperature. Currently its 71 d F. (22 C).
I'm glad to be a part of this forum.

Re: Which part of the world are you from?
My name is Brandon Smith and I live in Fenton Missouri, which is a small town in the suburbs of St.Louis county. I have been a member for a while but have become more active lately since I decided to try breeding my L183 Starlight Bristle nose plecs. Which did a month or so ago.
I am an active member on a few planted tank sited (TPT, APC and AC) because I have many tanks that I keep rare and hard to keep plants. Mainly soft water varieties like Eriocaulons, Trithuria but also quite a few different crypts too.
The cats I currently have are the 183's of course, habrosus cories, otos and a marbled syno. Im looking forward to finding some S.Barbatus hopefully and trying my hand in breeding them too.
Look forward to some good discussions!
