That is a lovely Scarlet pleco, a good buy! I have a question that maybe someone could answer.... when I got my Scarlet it too had slight damage to its tail, and was missing the tip of the lower 'point' (sorry, don't know technical name!) I got him about a month ago but have not seem much re-growth since then- how quickly should it be growing back?

I want to give him the clean water quality and appropriate food, does not receive the disease the infection, approximately in month time can recover, in particular "PSEUDACANTHICUS ".

I have a Scarlet (L-25) 4 inches that I bought early this year...it has a darker colouration. Lately it has been growing pretty fast for a Pseudacanthicus...it has been eating a lot. My guess is that it is now close to 5.5 inches. Their fins become redder as they mature and they are not as aggressive as other pseudas.

In two months, I obtain red L25 (40 centimeters)(15.7inches), I look after him to cause the body to change red.

Therefore I have yesterday bought red L25 (28 centimeters)(11inches).

Saw their fiery red body, I thought extremely beautifully with is worth.

They can the easily growth to 15 centimeters, also the food quantity are extremely big.

Last night I newly will buy red L25 put in tank, another bigger red L25 pursued him, I worried could kill.

Today looked had the comparison to be much better, the dispute were less.

usually with the proper care.. the redness of the L25 will slowly come out :) I had two 15inch scarlet.. but sad to the say the other one jumped out of the tank.. while the other one is now with an asian arowana and is very much doing fine.. and the redness of the fins and body are slowly becoming more intense.. this really shows that they are very far in appearance with the red-fin cactus
