Uk tank builders

Post by taksan »

I'm about to order some 4' x 30" x 30" tanks for my currently depleted collection.
Has anyone used ND Aquatics for tanks ? Any other recommendations for tank builders in the South East ?

I have a 850l seabray tank, the quality is really top notch, much better than aquariums have ordered from BOSS.
I think they are located in Essex.

I've heard ND Aquatics mentioned in good ways. I have tanks from Seabray. Maidenhead Aquatics have custom made tanks from Seashell, run by (from what I heard) the son of Seabray's founder/owner. Both make nice tanks - I don't think Seabray do tanks directly to customers, but you need to order through a retailer. Neither is the lowest cost option, but if you aren't too bothered about that, then ...

My last/latest two tanks came from Barlows Aquatic Trading - not in the South by any meaning of the word (unless you live in Scotland). But well built tanks at good price. And they are near to Pier Aquatics, so may be worth a trip... ;) - Obviously assuming you have a vehicle suitable for taking a 4ft x 30 x 30 tank - I'm not sure my Peugeot 206SW would be up for that - 4ft x 2ft x 30" (4ft x 30 base) would probabably go in, as I had two 4ft x 16" x 2ft (4ft x 2ft base) in the car when I was up there for the CSG auction.

Thanks I've ordered 4 of the 4"x30"x30" tanks from ND Aquatics They will drill them for me and provide stands and hoods. All delivered.
I'll see how I go when I get them. Now its time to find some Eheim love ....
