Fish trip to Germany VOL2

I must be a little bit crazy because I made a trip to Germany for fishes, again. Now it was four days and 3000km and of course lots of interested fishes, mostly catfishes. I visit at Deister Aquaristik at Hannover and OF-Aquaristik at Frankfurt. Deister Aquaristik was new for me and I can highly recommend that place for Malawi and Tanganyika people.

At OF-Aquaristik I have visit before in summer 2009 but again it really surprised me more than once. I found many species of Synodontis and some of them are really "super species". I also bought some South American species, few Doradidae for Junttis and some Corydoras and Loricariidae for other hobbyists.

I was able to order fishes from Glaser and I ordered 20pcs of Channallabes apus with Junttis but when I got home we notest that all of them are in fact Gymnallabes typus, not bad at all .

Here is something I took with me: Synodontis pleurops, S.njassae, S.contracta, S.clarias, S.polli, S.petricola, S.camelopardalis, S.pardalis, S.caudalis, S.filamentosa , Mochokiella paynei, Brachysynodontis batensoda, Hemisynodontis membranacea, Chrysichthys ornatus, Corydoras weitzmani, C.robinae, C.boesemani, Doras eigenmanni, Hemidoras stenopeltis, Rhinodoras dobignyi, Tracholypterichthys taeniatus, Lamontichthys ilanero, Mystus cf. gulio and many more.

Here is some photos from the trip, I will put some more when they have settled down. Most of these I didn't bought, little bit too expensive for me .

Jippo got me a pair of Ancistrus sp.'s too. These huge bristlenoses are over 20cm long.

Ok, so Australia is a special place in that the list of allowed species for import is so small. But bear in mind also that Australia is a reliatively small country with regards to population. And Jippo travelled a couple of thousand kilometers (at least 1250 miles), and google maps points out
* This route includes a ferry.
* This route has tolls.
* This route crosses through multiple countries.

I know that 2000km may not be very far in Australian terms, but it's (according to some experimentation) about same distance as Adelaide to Brisbane. There is no ferry or crossing country borders involved in this trip, however!

The population of Australia is about 20 million. The population of Europe is about 700 million. So we should, in fairness, get about 35 times as many fish shops!

I have no idea, could be hybrid too. Looks little bit like nigromaculata but tale is not correct.

3000km in fact and I used 7 different ferry which longest takes 9h. And this whole trip in four days . Next time I will reserve at least one week.

I bought this fish to friend of mine so I don't have it and there was only one of these. He already has 5 polli and those looks different than this one, not only coloration. Shape of head is quite different than others so it looks strange. The color is exact same than in pictures. It is less than 10cm long so you might be right it needs few meals first and we can check it again later.
