Just on this thought, do we have matching locality data? Where are these fish coming from?Marc van Arc wrote:Yes, although I'd rather call them Centromochlus cf. altae.

Would make sense if they are from Río Caquetá drainage, Morelia, Colombia.Marc van Arc wrote:The last batch I had were (sent) from Peru.
And it's a goner. Positive is that it was definitely an individual thing.Marc van Arc wrote:And I should have kept my mouth shut! There's one A. nigripinnis male with a very swollen belly, a bit too swollen if you ask me.......
I won't answer your question to Yann, but I bet you a couple of euros the yellow wore off rather quickly. Just like in your and mine specimens.kruseman wrote:Very nice Yann!
What yellow colors on that second picture. Are they still like that?
I remember mine had that shade of yellow as well, a couple of years ago, but after a short while disappeared fully.
Agreed. My nigripinnis aren't that skittish. Now they live with 50+ Puntius filamentosus and P. arulius and the catfish swim with them all the time. The barbs and catfish don't get scared easily in a such large shoal.Marc van Arc wrote: To anyone doubting the purchase of , stop doubting. Simply don't buy. In my opinion and experience this auchenipterid is highly unrecommended. Sorry.
Yess!! They're here!Junttis wrote:Yep. It was sad to read what happened to your fishes.
I've been trying to get T. taeniatus for over three years. Let's hope now is the time.
First group i got in 2007 were DOA, and the second time i tried to get them, i received T. galeatus.
Nice find Mats. And well deserved too.MatsP wrote:Seeing as I've lost my Centromochlus romani and C. reticulatus, I found some C. perugiae.
I'm of course always looking forward to auchenipterid pictures, but what about those pretty special fish? Let's have them!Junttis wrote:Junttis wrote:I got four , and four adult plus some more pretty special fish. Pictures tomorrow.

Thanks.kruseman wrote:That is a nice list, Junttis!
What store in Germany if I may ask?
Nice list indeed and still looking forward to pix, whenever they may come. Take your time; it's important those fishes get some peace & quiet first.Junttis wrote:They are From Glaser and Of-aquaristik.
I hope to place an order with them tomorrow evening, latest stock list arrives tomorrow AM.Marc van Arc wrote:Glaser...... somehow I have to see that place one day.
Yep. Same company. Glaser is a real candystore. I hope i'm going to see it my self next year.Marc van Arc wrote: OF? Isn't that Oliver Frank (= Tanganyika.de)?
Glaser...... somehow I have to see that place one day.
From their site:"Daß wir ausschliesslich den Großhandel beliefern" means "we only sell to wholesalers". Alas.....MatsP wrote:I think Glaser sells directly too. Check their website, but I'm pretty sure that's the case.
They will sell to individuals, with the appropriate checks, but you've got to buy in quantity. The text on the website, I suspect, is to stop people emailing with "how much for three tetras please" type emails. Three thousand and you've got a deal.MatsP wrote:I must have confused it with another German specialist that does sell to individuals.
That could well be Raubwelse.deMatsP wrote:I must have confused it with another German specialist that does sell to individuals.
