looks a lot like L411 if you ask me.....
where were they caught?
but that's also a nice fish
please be sure which number it is and that you don't have a mixed group (hybrids!!) before the offspring is distributed as L260... good luck!

I would say these are more likely to be L411.

Nice looking fish.
If I might say, if that is your spawning setup. I would suggest removing the spotted fish from the tank.
Any spawn in a tank with a mixed species in it can be hybreds. The odd male can be on the other end of the tank and his sperm will contaminate any spawn in that tank.
I think that there is no place in the hobby for hybreds. Just my 2c.

At the talk last week at the catfish convention Hans mentioned that most of the L260 available in the hobby in Europe are actually L411. They breed easier and are hard to differentiate when they aren't completely mature. I've had L411 at my shop that spawned at 3.5" SL. They should be larger than L260, but there are a few other things to differentiate them. I didn't mean to land on your thread with pictures of your pretty fish and cause any issues, I promise. I was just curious how you were sure they were L260 and I hoped it would clear up any confusion. There is an awful lot of this type of misidentification going on in the hobby right now with a large number of pleco types. They are still very lovely fish!
