Sign the petition to stop Belo Monte
Maybe the last chance to make a different, sign the petition and support the riverine people and the nature in Rio xingu valley. The first construction license was denied by IBAMA when they not could fulfill the demands in the environmental survey, keep the pressure on the government by signing the petition.

Hmmmmm, I wish I wasn't so sceptical about this. Building the dam seems to be a foregone conclusion. They can only estimate just how much of the land around it will be flooded, leading to a mass loss of plant and animal life.
The phrases: 'there's always an alternative' and 'there's always a choice' spring to mind.
So, they should just 'open the doors' and let the Xingu be fished-out. CONTROVERSIAL
