Our local hospital's emergency department has catfish anti-veneme as well as stuff for brown snakes and the Sydney Funnel Web Spider. I forgot the platypuses are poisonous as well. Come visit our wildlife is cute and cuddly - honest.

As far as I know, both crocodiles and kangaroos are completely non-toxic. Of course, the crocs will eat stuff, including humans sometimes, but not toxic as such.

Hi everyone, I am a new member of this forum. I live in Southampton, Hampshire but originally from Mexico. Due to space constraints at the moment I only have a small tank with tetras, a few corys and one bristlenose pleck which is getting too big for its tank. I just discovered a new shop in my area (Aquajardin) which has a huge variety of rare catfish species. Now I want a bigger tank!!!! Looking forward to learn more about cat fishes.

Hi, I'm Mathieu. I'm new around here. I'm from Leiden, the Netherlands. Signed up because I've got a breeding pair of Ancistrus as of halfway last week. Second batch of eggs, first batch they messed up. Found the eggs all over the place, not in a single hole or cave. Eggs were gone a couple of days later. Just disappeared, no fry found.

This time the male looks after them properly, hope to have fry by the end of this week. I keep them in a 250 liters tank, with a whole lot of guppy's and a pair of swordtail fish. Had the female for 5 years. When changing the tank from goldfish (they grew way to big) into guppy's I got myself a nice big male thru the internet. And now 5 months later hopefully the first batch of youngsters!

@ Pez Gato - you could start a thread in "Speak Easy" listing what cats you've seen & where. This always generates interest as people are always on the look out for specific species & appreciate knowing what is about.

That's a good idea. I will go back in the next few days and write down a list of the catfish species they have on the day.

Hailing in from Saskatoon Saskatchewan. Easy to draw, hard to spell.

I'm an Otocinclus nut and have bred many different types of Otocinclus successfully. Done some collecting aboard and seen a good deal of our favourite South American fish in their native waters.

Hi everyone. I'm from Pennsylvania. I've been visiting this site for years to find information on various catfishes. I've been keeping fish for over 20 years. Currently, I only have a 4 foot (55 gallon) tank setup. The catfish in it are a female albino bristle nose (she's about 6 years old) and a l128 that I picked up last weekend.
I took a road trip to That Fish Place on Saturday and (along with the l128) picked up supplies to set up a 20 long and an odd ball tank that I got from a friend. The odd tank measures 25x18x25 inches.
This site offers a wealth of information on catfish and I'm happy to be here.
