hi there...
can you please tell me what are those syno and can they breed and witch method...
i have 2 of these and are about 6 inches long each
this one is the biggest,the other one is a little bit smaller

Looks like a hybrid between S. multipunctatus and S. decorus - do a search on this subject and I am sure you will find plenty of good informative hits/posts/threads.

Hybrids are often, but not always, infertile, I am told.

Nice-looking guy! Excellent size too. Beware, that hybrids are a sensitive subject here and are not liked by most because of the cruelest and inhumane procedure they are produced by (again I am told).

This is a hybrid as pointed out above, it is most like , but for sure is a mix.
For size I would expect it to grow about the same as stated for S.decora

are they spawners or cockoo style???

S.decora will most likely scatter eggs into vegetation, again these are most similar to those.
There are very very few spawnings of riverine syno's reported and of course one would not want these hybrids to spawn anyway I would hope.
these hybrids are bred by injection of hormones.

These hybrids such as yours are quite common at the moment in North America and seemingly in Europe as well.

im pretty shure i have a couple and would like to have little kids hehehe...

they were in a 50g but now have plenty of room in my 125g and made them a spawning nest like for the petricola thinking they were petricola before...anyway if it does not work for them it will work for my convicts hahaha

There are very few riverine synodontis that has been bred in captivity. Hybrids, which are a cross between two species, are an entirely unknown quantity when it comes to breeding, because, as suggested, they may well be infertile [horse and donkey off-spring, for example, are infertile]. They are obtained by injecting the two parent fish with hormones and then "squeezed" to get the eggs and milt out of the fish - something that is often deadly to the parent fish.

And of course, what method of spawning does a fish that is a mix between a cuckoo spawner and an essentially unknown spawner use? I don't think any natural breeding in captivity has been done with . We don't know much about breeding these fish.
