L177 gold nuggets and cory eggs/fry

Post by rhibear »

I have 4 new L177 gold nuggets at around 2.5/3" that I was housing with 4 C. Schultzei (black corys) in a 48" 55g. After weeks of trying and then giving up, the corys suddenly decided to spawn just 2 days after the Plecos were added. Are the eggs/fry safe to leave in the tank with the gold nuggets or should I attempt to rehouse them?

Cory eggs will probably be eaten by L177. But perhaps it's a better option to move the eggs than the fish - after all, the corys probbly will eat some of the fry if the eggs hatch.
