Tatia perugiae not eating

So a while ago I bought two T. Perugiae. Within a day, they were doing excellent.

I bought another one from where I work. It was hiding really well and for over a month I never seen it. I moved around everything one day in the tank and there she was. She looked super thin so I stayed late that night and fed that tank bloodworms after they turned the lights off.

I bought her to add to my group of two and it's been like six weeks and she is still not eating right. The other two go on blind feeding frenzies as soon as I add food and this one never eats. I even tried feeding at night and I snuck up with a dim led light and she would still be motionless on the bottom.

I did see her eat last night when my t. intermedia bumped into her knocking a bloodworm into her face. After only two bloodworms though she stopped eating.

Does anybody have any suggestions on how I can get her to eat?

Hello,
First turn the lights off, then add some thawed out mysis shrimp. Gently add it to the tank with a pipet or turkey baster --right in front of her -- good luck.

I would probably try treating the affected C. perugiae in a 5 gal tank and use a combination of metroniadazole, flubendazole and praziquantel. I would try to feed live foods as much as possible during the treatment period but I think they like frozen blood worms better than any other food. I have tried Mysis but none of my fish every seemed to take a liking for it. I know that Mysis have proven to be avidly eaten by many species but not for when I have tried it. I never made any concerted effort to acclimate them to to Mysis and maybe did not try long enough.

Larrys idea to give them a good treatment I think is right on. I have 6 of these fish and of the foods I have offered them frozen blood worms are by far the most eagerly taken. They wont touch any prepared type foods and halfheartedly take live black worms.

They will eventually get used to flakes and other frozen foods, but as stated before red mosquito larvae (bloodworms) is definitely their favourite food.

mine are supernuts about live foods as I try to feed them as much mosquito larvae I can possibility safely collect but at this time of the year its going to be a challenge in my area...

I do feed my little guys bloodworms once in a while thru a pipette is a good idea as well as it takes little bit encouragement for my thin males (yes I do have one or two thin males that just want to focus on other males not the food)


and do the treatments as larry stated in the earlier post.
