New group of L200's
New group of L200's
Hello,
Its been about 8 months without fish due to various reasons but last week I collected a group of 5 x L200's. The 4 larger ones are about 5-6" long. They are eating well which is good. At the moment they are in a 4' x 2' bare bottom tank while I quaranteen them and then they will head over to my big show tank.
Ive read through various posts on the forum about sexing (Im sure people are sick of being asked, so I apologise in advance) and being fairly inexperienced with L numbers I was wondering what peoples thoughts are on thier sex? So far consensus is 2 females and 3 males.

Nice looking fish. Not sure about the 3 males + 2 females - I think all the bigger ones of your fish look quite decidedly male, and the smaller one is a bit harder to say - but I've been wrong on this many more times than I've been right, so don't take my word for it.

Hello Mats,
Thank you for your thoughts there. When I bought them the guy who sold them to me said he thought the 4 big guys where male, Ive since had a couple of others look at the photos who suggested 3 males, but I have to say, my very untrained eye cant see any differences between the 4 big ones either.
