Sorry, but this seems a bit backwards to me: You send the pictures to Jools for inclusion in the Cat-eLog saying they are L314, then you post here for an ID? I'd suggest if you are not 99.8% sure the ID is correct in your mind, that you don't send pictures to be included in the Cat-eLog. I'm just saying this because you are new and probably did this out of "novice enthusiasm" - I do a few picture updates, and it's somewhat easy to make the mistake of thinking the supplier of the image actually knows what the fish is [they sure should, but you'd be surprised how many images we get that are NOT quite the same as they say].

Then comes the question of the ID of your fish: It is clearly one of the Leporacanthicus close to , but I can't say for sure which one - they aren't that easy to tell apart.

Sorry about the condescending tone, but what would you have said if we HAD added the fish as L314, and then later found out that it's L264? How many other people would find L264 in the shop and thing "Wow, I've got a great find here", because they've seen the picture here?

Actually, I personally think the L264 is the prettiest in that group, the L263 and L314 aren't quite as attractive. But I'm not sure if they aren't actually all the same species, just slight differences depending on capture location or some such.
