Don't you mean something like Thunder pleco? Otherwise you're not making any sense.

Re: Pseudacanthicus sp. (LDA105)
Hi,
guess, that depends where "local" is.
In any case: Note that L 105 is different from LDA 105.
LDA 105 is a Pseudacanthicus sp., which is also referred to as Pseudacanthicus sp. "Typhoon".
L 105 is a Panaque sp. (or, occasionally, Panaqolus sp.).
The name "Hairy Peckoltia" is occasionally used for Peckoltia sp. "L 38".
In this respect, note the usefulness of L-Numbers in these cases. Common names are not useful in international communication, but L-Numbers are (despite also being common names) broadly accepted and everybody knows (potentially knows) what you are talking about.
Cheers, Sandor

OK, so while we end up talking about the local name of the , why is the post titled LDA105? Clearly that species doesn't need editing.
As to Typhoon pleco being a common name for . I've never seen it as such on import lists, or in talking with various people in the trade (UK, USA, Germany although not Japan).
Please can you provide the source of this information? I cannot make the change on this otherwise as it seems whimsical.
Thanks,
Jools
