They did look well developed AFAIK & in good health (except a couple that exhibited a little redness around the anal fin region)
Hi Richard, They are still showing red and IMO this is their colouration the male fishes are showing more red than the females .
I am 100% posetive they are not sick the red is more intense every day .
I will get a photo of them tomorrow if I get a few mins..
You had some L114 (I think) in the tank on the corner on the left side just as you get into the room that leads to the marine section. They weren't priced (as far as I could tell). How much are they?
@ Neil - yeah they looked in really good condition as i posted earlier but i was a little confused by the redness - certainly this strikes me as unusual for ventral colouration but may be something only males exhibit?

Went out yesterday to a few fish stores north of Seattle to look for interesting cats for my 55g tank
Clarks Feed n' Seed (Bellingham, WA) - great selection of Cory, not many other cats. They are really focused on plants and micro tanks and really dont stock many fish over 4" these days. Their loricariidae selection is also very limited. knowledgeable staff and well cared for tanks but rather disappointing as the first stop on my catfish adventure.
Next up was Conway Tropical Fish (Conway, WA) - They had an incredible selection of cichlids and very well kept tanks. They have had interesting cats in the past, and had some very nice synodontis but this is really a cichlid lover's paradise. The tanks were very well maintained, they have rescued and boarded alot of fish, the staff is great and told me about my next stop :
Pet-pourri (Everette, WA) - I was a little skeptical about the name, as well as the fact that its also a pet store but this turned out to be the highlight of the trip. Cory at Conway's had told me that they liked to stock unusual stuff, and it turns out one of the guy ordering fish loves catfish. I got a little giddy when I saw the huge turushuki in the display tank at the entrance to the large fish section, and the rest of the store didnt disappoint. They had a great pleco selection - sternella, goldie, negrolineatus, blue panaque, green phantom, three beacon, and galaxy as well as a few clown / tiger variations. Many cory cats (I didnt inventory them as well), farowella, banjo cats, striped raphael and a few oddballs like a hybrid shovel head, a big giraffe cat. And the best part -
After looking through their considerable stock, the VERY LAST TANK had two tiny little Erethistes Hara which has been my quest fish for several months now! They are currently living in a 10g tank with a few celestial danios until the the 55g cat tank is cycled.
These are looking nice. I agree with Neil that the pinkish tinge doesnt appear to be anything wrong. From what I have heard and reading in-between the lines, these (and A. cf atronasus in the c-log) may possibly be one of the current junior synonyms of atronasus. A. melanopogon or A. nigricollis.
