Dwarf Albino Bristlenose
I have 11 of the cutest little pink wiggling plecos. Right now they range from 1" to 1.25". My question is, how big will they need to get before I will be able to start sexing them and how long might this take? I've had them for a week and a half now and they are ALL eating like little pink pigs.
Plecos are the true centerpieces of any aquarium. Everything else just swims around them!!

You should be able to sex them at 2 inches or so, and they'll spawn at 3. They grow quite quickly also, but its REALLY important to make sure they have enough food and clean water at that stage. They tend to burn so much energy with growing that they will starve to death in the matter of a day. Good luck with them I really enjoy mine.

FlyinMike, you will love these great little fish. I have had mine about a year now.
I was doing some tank cleaning today and I moved an albino male into a tank that had a female albino with some Lamprologus lelupi. Within a couple of hours it was obvious that something was going on. The pair of plecos ran the lelupis out of their ceramic cave and became very active going in and out of the cave. Tonight the male is in the cave guarding their first batch of eggs. Love at first sight, I guess. It should be fun raising the babies.
